I was born and raised in Alamo. I ran for school board in 2012 and won my first term. I then ran for re-election in 2016 and won agian. I formulated successful campaigns thru social media. While being a board member, I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. This took me to hospitals such as the University of Arizona in Tucson, Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale AZ, and the University of Colorado in Denver, CO. Ultimately resulting in being implanted with a device called a Left Vertical Assist Device (LVAD) and being placed on the heart transplant list now going on 4 years.

Doctors told me at the beginning that I only had 3 months left in my heart. 4 1/2 years later I'm still standing strong with my two beautiful children - Dakota Hawk Guerro (9) and Danielle Camille Guerro. I will be running for Navajo Nation Council for Alamo, Ramah, and Tohajiilee in two years.
